On January 16, 2008, I signed the One Planet Communities Collaboration Agreement creating a partnership between Codding Enterprises, BioRegional, and their partner, WWF International. This is one of the biggest deals ever signed by Codding Enterprises and creates the 1st One Planet Community in North America, and only the 4th in the world.
Sonoma Mountain Village is now being recognized on a local, national, and international level as a solution to many of the problems we face as citizens of the world, namely global warming. Recently, we received invitations to present our project to distinguished bodies, such as the United Nations and the California Attorney General’s Office, who want to hold Sonoma Mountain Village as a model solution of what we can do to address our world challenges.
Sonoma Mountain Village is the example of Codding Enterprises’ commitment to responsibly develop the most attractive, well designed, energetic, and sustainable community in existence. Ultimately, we plan to indentify other sites where we have an opportunity to create communities that utilize the principles of One Planet Communities. This will be the growth platform for our company’s future.
