Homes

Homes of all styles and sizes, and for all income levels are located within a 1/2 mile of the Town Square creating a 5-minute lifestyle. Each home is also within a 2-minute walk to neighborhood parks, offering dedicated community gardening space. The Lifestyle Concierge on the Town Square will be a fun place to learn more about the features of your home, purchase goods or hear about the latest technologies and community events.

With so much to do at Sonoma Mountain Village—theatre, daily farmers’ market, community events, marketplace, restaurants, international all-weather soccer field—the community is designed to grow and be shaped to serve the needs and wants of the community. Plans are now being defined for the homes, amenities, luxurious lifestyle and world-class environmental attributes.

The 1,694 homes will be a mix of 951 apartments and condominiums, and 743 single-family homes. The home types will be varied to include single-family (with and without granny units over garages), rowhouses, affordable-by-design homes (same design and construction, yet smaller square footages), townhouses, multi-family condos, lofts, flats and luxury homes. All will feature full amenities, energy saving designs, top-notch quality and attention to detail regardless of the price, size or style. Square footages range from 600 sq. ft. up to 4,500 sq. ft. with many choices in between.

All new construction will utilize recycled steel framing technology develped by Genesis Worldwide. This allows for the building of a 2,000 square foot home with recycled steel. For example a 2,000 square foot home can be framed from 6 SUV's, rather than 40 trees. Homeowners will enjoy straighter walls without shrinkage cracks, increased fire safety, no off-gassing and, most likely, lower insurance costs.

Green Building Standards are being set at the highest levels of the GreenPoint system for homes and using the very best practices taken from a collection of U.S. and International programs. Details of the Green Building Standards will be avilable to coincide with the start of new home construction.

Single-Family Homes

The 743 single-family homes will feature alley-loaded garages in the rear of the homes, making the front of your home a focal point. Streets will be made narrow to be more walkable and bicycle-friendly, bringing a unique sense of community and place. With more eyes on the street, a safer environment is an added benefit.

Lofts, Condos, and Apartments

The 951 lofts, condominiums and apartments will be built on the upper levels of the multi-story buildings on the Town Square and throughout the community. Many will feature balconies overlooking the Square, and all offer dedicated parking. The single and multi-story lofts and condos will range from 1,000 to 3,500 sq. ft..
